Confrontation.
Some encourage it.
Some hide from it.
But a great leader knows, whether you are naturally inclined to one side or the other, you must learn to embrace it sooner or later. And the fact is, sooner is better. But you also need to be equipped to confront from the right perspective and with the right outcomes in mind. It is a finely crafted skill to be able to confront an issue without leaving a wake of destruction in the path to resolution.
There’s an excellent podcast that reminds us of my mentor John Maxwell’s “10 Commandments of Confrontation.” It’s definitely worth the listen and even more, the application.
Whether it is leading in the workplace, at home, or in your community, this is solid advice for all leaders.
Click here for “The 10 Commandments of Confrontation.” Then take a few minutes to jot down the ten commandments on a note card that you can reference anytime you need to have a difficult conversation. It will be a game-changer.
