Some people are naturally gifted with the power of persuasion. You can spot them easily in a crowd. They are usually surrounded by a group of people listening intently to what they are saying. They suggest an action, and people naturally follow through with them to carry it out. Leading people to action comes easy for them.
But what about the rest of us?
As a leader, you must be able to influence and persuade people. If you have no influence, you have no leadership.
The good news is you can develop the skills you need to lead in this respect, even if it is not inherent to who you are.
In this John Maxwell Corporate Solutions podcast episode, you will learn some excellent tips for connecting and influencing. And it may come as a relief to know that it is less about who you are and more about how you make people feel. It is less about how you come across to people and more about the energy and commitment you bring to a cause.
And sometimes, as you will learn and as my mentor John Maxwell teaches, it can be as simple as walking slowly through the crowd with a smile.
Take some time to listen to this podcast and learn how you can develop this important leadership skill.
