Meet Deb

Look closely at these 2 pictures.
Care to guess the level 1 or positional leader vs. the level 3, 4 or 5 relational leader?
It’s easy to nail right?
Positional leaders are stuffy. The stand on title.  They want you to notice their office, their plaque of admiration on the wall, the latest article about that mentions them and their accomplishments.  They expect…no demand, that you pay close attention to them and what they expect.  They spend little time cultivating their team and are rarely found building leaders below themselves.
Relational leaders are smart business people too.  Except they don’t focus internally on what they’re about, they know their strengths but they seek to learn the strengths of the members of their team and they ‘tee’ them up for success.  Relational leaders are strength leaders in the purest sense.
If you are leading a team today and desire for the team to reach its highest potential and kick your results into high gear, then break free of the positional leadership and move into Strength Leadership…be relational.

Great point Deb. At first I thought Jerry Springer had opened a law firm (on the left). Then I realized Tiki Barber was having a party.
