A trip to urgent care, an ambulance ride, and a stay in the hospital reveal the healing power of DISC in action.

On the front end of the spectrum, you will find the D-wired individuals who are quick to assess, decide, and take action. Firefighters, ambulance drivers, triage medics, and emergency room personnel fall into this category in varying degrees.

Depending on the circumstances, you will find the next level to be the C-wired precisionists who analyze the situation, make a determination, and develop a plan of action.

Once that action is taken, the supportive cast of nurturers and encouragers (S’s and I’s) take center stage. These are the people who manage patient care, comfort, and encouragement; and the people who patiently deal with the administrative details.

Each type of individual is needed and has a function for which they are uniquely qualified. Consider the implications of shuffling such a team. You could create a critical situation. Placement done well has the power to save lives; placement done without careful consideration could destroy them.

And so, it is in any business. You will need all four personality types (D, I, S , and C) in order to be fully effective and efficient.

Do you have…

1. D-wired Individuals – Those who can quickly assess, decide, and take action?

2. I-wired individuals – Those who encourage and bring lightness to difficult situations.

3. S-wired individuals – Those who nurture and provide an organized flow for the work to be accomplished.

4. C-wired individuals – Those who are are gifted with the ability to address the details, plan, and follow through, with quality results.
