Every once in a while, you meet someone who is working and serving humanity from a point of true strengths and purpose. And when you do, you know it! They stand out without saying a word, they have exemplary results, and they tend to be the “go-to” person in their field.

Those who take our Maxwell DISC assessments learn their strengths, their motivators, and their best working environment. They also receive key information for communicating with other personalities.

In addition, they gain valuable insight from three graphs that are in the report. Those three graphs indicate, essentially, who the person is at their core and how they respond to environmental changes and expectations.

Where there is great deviation, it tends to indicate the person is under considerable stress. They are in an environment that truly does not fit who they are. If you have ever tried to be someone you are not, you know what this is like. There is adapting to a situation, but then there is adapting so much that you lose yourself. And that is the stress point.

Aligning Strengths

But on rare occasion, we see a report that is so incredibly aligned with strengths that we must take notice. And when we do, it becomes clear that the person is doing what they were meant to do, and they love it.

And here’s the thing, if you do what you were meant to do, are working in your strengths, and you love your work, does it not follow that you will also be able to hone-in on your unique strengths to a point of great purpose and expertise?

Compounding Strengths

It is like compound interest, where you are building on strengths and then compounding them. The results can be exponential!

As a leader, you owe it to yourself to serve from your best strengths. It will reflect in your team and in your results. And you owe it to your team to allow them to operate in their best strengths as much as possible. This brings compounded success.

As you begin the most productive season of the year, ask yourself if you are working in your strengths zone. If not, how can you bring those strengths into your work in order to increase impact? Do you need to adjust the work, the environment, or both? What does your team need to succeed?

Set your team and yourself for compounded success by aligning your work to strengths. You may be amazed at the results!
