January 1st.
A day of diets, hangovers and football. A day off, a day to take down decorations, a day with family or a day to sleep.
And for some of us, it’s the dawn of a new dream.
For me, this marks my first day full time in my business after running it while working full time as Vice President of Brand Operations for a very large company here in New York.
But today is different.
Today is special.
Today is scary.
Today is exhilarating.
Today excuses are gone. I have enough time.
Today I am 100% responsible to and for my own schedule.
Today I am the only boss.
Today I am the only excuse.
Today I am the dreamer but today I am also the doer.
I am the captain(ess) of my own destiny.
My own future.
My own success.
I will continue to seek wisdom from my mentors and coaches.
I will continue to listen to my clients and serve them well.
I can now accelerate my areas of serving that are 100% in line with the vision for my life.
Cool.
As I have worked with coaching people through Free Agent Academy and with my executive coaching clients, I have had the privilege to bear witness as so many launch into the dawn of a new dream for themselves as a result of our work together. And now as I bear witness to my own new dawn, I experience the most fulfilling feeling. I know that I have been encouraged, equipped and empowered to launch and live my dream.
And so I am.
Thank you to each of you who have been supporting and challenging me in this.
As I move into 2012, I am excited about my future and YOURS.
What are you on the dawn of today?
What are you focused on in 2012?

Wow Deb,
You leaked this a bit at the FAA event. So exciting and terrifying at the same time. Definitely the right move though! I will have to consult with you when I leap from my corporate Gig of 20 + years. Be blessed in 2012.
John you have totally nailed the emotions….exciting and slightly terrifying and oh so worth it.
I’ll be cheering for you for your leap too! Can’t wait!
