Meet Deb

It is a time when many are looking to re-enter the workplace. Some will return to business as usual; but some may not.

No doubt, over the last several weeks, you have taken time to reflect on what you do and how you do what you do.

  • Maybe the work you were doing, you are not excited to return to doing. Or it could be that you missed it and are excited to be going back.
  • Perhaps you realized you enjoyed the freedom of working outside the confines of an office or, conversely, that you missed the camaraderie of your “office family.”
  • And it is likely that some reading this article do not have a job to return to at this point.

While it has been a time of transition, we are about to face another transition point.

Will anything be different for you?

It should be.

And it is relatively certain that it will be.

As you have seen in the video above, your success is very much dependent on your degree, but not in the way you think. It is dependent on the degree to which you apply your strengths.

In this world of change, there is one constant. At the core, you are inherently a person with distinct strengths and weaknesses. To the degree you apply your strengths, you can overcome adversity. You can overcome weakness. You can overcome doubt, fear, and anxiety. Knowing your strengths gives you confidence, direction, and drive.

Now would be a good time to assess your strengths and ensure you are equipped for what lies ahead. Knowing your strengths allows you to find meaningful work that fits. Whether it is going back to your previous work or exploring new options, you will succeed to the degree to which you apply your strengths.

The One-Degree Difference

Do you know your strengths?

Are you ready to apply them?

One degree of difference is enough to turn water to steam. And “steam can power a locomotive.”
