Dov Baron

Dov Baron

In June 1990 while free rock climbing, Dõv Baron fell approximately 120 feet and landed on his face. The impact shattered most of the bone structure of his face, disintegrating some of his upper jaw and fracturing his lower jaw in four places. After nine reconstructive surgeries, no external evidence remains of the damage however, this experience was life changing. Now if you’ve listened to the Strength Leader podcast you know that I’m an old dog, I began in the corporate world in a time when it wasn’t about Leadership it was Management and in management what was modeled for us was to put on the air of a perfect job and a perfect life. I hated that. It wasn’t true of me or any of the other “Management” I worked with. We were flawed people. We knew it and our teams knew it. There was not a lot of value placed on authentic leadership but thankfully that has changed. So as Dov fell and was smashed to pieces and was in the recovery process, he realized that experience transformed him and his perspective on the value of becoming an authentic leader. Being an authentic leader can scare the C?*! out of us but it is a building block of trust which can be built into a fiercely loyal culture in an organization. In this podcast he shares what he has experienced firsthand and now mentors other leaders in…authentic leadership.
